Indoor Happiness :)
It’s true! Studies report that fatigue, depression, tension and even anger are all reduced by having indoor plants. While the researchers call for more studies looking at indoor houseplants and mood, there’s plenty of evidence suggesting they benefit us in many ways, whether in the home, classroom, office, or even a hospital room. Indoor plants also clean the air in our homes which, most people don’t realise, is much more polluted than the air outside due to paints, dust, fossil fuels and furnishings. The size of the plant is not important so no need to start growing a jungle in your living room. A plant in a 20cm pot works just as well as one in a 30cm pot. It also doesn’t matter what species of plant it it because they all do the same important work (aren’t they clever). So go and get yourself a little green friend for your desk, bathroom or lounge room knowing that he will not only lift your mood but keep you healthy. Here’s some indoor plant inspiration and next week I’ll be looking at some of the best indoor planters & pots around.
